Balken was formed in December 1992 with the corporate objective focused on execution of Architecture and Interior.

Design, specializing in developing and leading corporate projects of Network Management Centers, Help Desks and ACs in different areas of Telecommunications, Internet, Banks, Railways, Highways, Power Plants and other corporations with a focus on information management and monitoring of own or third parties.

Since 2006, Balken has been adding professionals in the Technology and Automation field with expertise in telematics, audio, video, security, access control, detection, fire fighting, CCTV and monitoring, extending its range of projects and bringing innovations in architecture, technology and logistics of container yards.

Until November 2009, all the projects of Balken had the co-production of the architect and landscape designer Maria Ines Zemella.

Since January 2010, the architect Marcelo Agosto is in charge of Balken Arquitetura e Tecnologia. Specialist in the critical control rooms and control centers, Marcelo Agosto is the architect responsible for the projects of the company still counting on the support of a team of highly trained professionals.

In June 2010, Balken broadens its scope starting the development of engineering , project management and construction. Also, in the same year, endorses sustainable development principles.

In December 2011 Balken opens branch in Rio de Janeiro.

In January 2012, we will release the Commemorative Stamp Balken 20 YEARS.
